In 1993, they planted a small vineyard on land over-looking Turkey Ridge Creek in Turner County, South Dakota. Valiant Vineyards' "Wild Grape" wine has become world famous in that it is sold in the finest wine shop in Paris, France and is on the wine list of Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group, Inc. Wild Grape has been written up in the Wine Spectator, Time Magazine, New York Times Newspaper and USA Today. Wild Grape is made from Vitis Riparia native to South Dakota and handpicked on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation and other untouched natural areas.
