The site is bordered on the west and south side by Buffalo Creek and is 200 ft above the Maple River Valley. The area is surrounded by trees, some new and others old, and the vineyard slopes to the south. It all started out a couple of years ago with about 100 vines and has grown into about 900 at the current time. We have added eight new wines to our selection in the Tasting Room this year, two fruit wines and six grape wines. Red Trail Vineyard continues to host numerous small and large groups which come to enjoy and learn about the Vineyard, or just to have a retreat to get away from the normal busy-ness of the day. The most visible addition to the Red Trail Vineyard this year has been hosting the North Dakota Wine and Grape Harvest festival and Grape Stomp, held on September 16th, 2006.
